current song: Ben Kweller-Wasted And Ready
So, I know it's a few days overdue, but Louisville won a National Championship. It was crazy. Kenny, Jerry and I decided to go to campus to meet up with Jonathan and celebrate. It was nuts, probably a good 3,000 people crowding one block.
It had been a rough couple of weeks at work. We've been busy, and James was on vacation so I had to do his job as well. The promotion is finally happening though. He goes to Houston next week for Mercedes training, and when he gets back he's going to start training me. I can't wait. In July, I'll have my own building I'm in charge of. It's exciting.
This week has been hell. I've been trying to get Sloan's bachelor party together, even though that's Jon's job. It's in two days and we still don't have the details. All we know is that we're going to the Louisville spring game, having a cookout then going to a bar. That's it. I did my part, I was told to get VIP at PBR for cheap, and I did that. Jon's really screwing the pooch though.
Other than that, not a lot's going on. We got mom moved, and grandma finally realized that she's going to be in the nursing home the rest of her life and is starting to accept it.
Bedtime. 7am comes early.
"Why am I dealing with this feeling? I'm maxed out like a credit card. I'll continue to be my worst enemy. It's so easy but it seems so hard. You're near but you seem so far."
